This committee has members from all sections of the society. The ACACI is aimed to work on legislation on the black money issue.

Ramdev addressed the audience during the inaugural function of the committee. He was targeting Congress and BSP over the issue of corruption. He said that the government has lost its ‘moral authority’ and it should not continue to be in the power.

He said, “The Supreme Court has cancelled 122 licences given by the government. It has cancelled everything. But the government says the Court has not said anything about it. This government does not have the moral authority to continue.”

He added, “The people will not tolerate this government for long. They will speak,”

Ramdev was alleging both Congress and BSP parties about their involvement in corruption. He said, “either hand (election symbol of Congress) eats money or elephant (election symbol of BSP) eats money.”

Though he was talking against Congress and BSP but he claimed that he is not targeting any particular party. But he also said that whenever he talks about corruption congress comes forward to defence it and he doesn’t understand the reason behind their defence.

Ramdev said, “They themselves come for defence. We never targeted any party. We never gave any clean chit. They themselves think we talk about them.”

He criticised government over Lokpal Bill issue, and pointing out about government’s Lokpal Bill, he says, it is not “aimed at eradicating corruption but aimed at furthering corruption in the country.”

An unbelievable incident occurred in Valsad, Gujarat. Police said that a man allegedly tried to dispose of his wife’s body by burning it in his house’s balcony. Her daughter was also involved in this incident. It is said that his wife died because he was not keeping well for a long time.

Police believes that it is not a simple case because wife’s body was cut into pieces before they burnt it so they may have done it due to some blind faith.

The incident was known by everyone once Magan Rana’s neighbours complained of fire in his house. Magan Ram a 72 year old man used to live at his house along with his 70-year-old wife Savita and 44-year-old daughter Kaushal.

It is said that first father and daughter tried to hide the truth because earlier they told everyone that they burnt the body of their cat because she died at the bed.

But when police inquired further then Magan Rana informed that he burnt the body of his wife Savita, who died on January 29 because of her ill health.

When burnt remains were sent in Forensic lab to check if that is of an animal or of a human dead body. Forensic experts confirmed that burnt remains were belonged to human being.

Police said that they have sent the body remains for post-mortem, to verify it she died naturally because they will investigate about the matter after getting post-mortem report.

Samajwadi Party (SP) President Mulayam Singh Yadav addressed a rally in Mahrajganj and he said that BSP leader Mayawati ignored the interest of farmers. Promising to waive off agricultural loans upto Rs.50,000, he said, “If Samajwadi Party is voted back to power we will immediately waive off farmers’ loan upto Rs 50,000,”

“This case sounds a wake-up call for Indian legislators to step in and think about having a re-look at the definition of rape so as to specifically include the instances of digital rape/male rape and make the offence gender neutral or to formulate a separate exhaustive legislation covering all categories of cases of sexual assault similar to legislations abroad,” said Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau.

80-year-old victim used to live in a park in Tri Nagar because her family has abandoned her, teen used his fingers to sexually assault her at the past midnight of May 19, 2011. The prosecution said that Prahlad assaulted the old woman by using unnatural means.

After the incident the old lady was in critical condition for number of days because she suffered dangerous injuries. The court had ordered to Delhi government to grant a compensation of Rs. 50,000 to the rape victim.

The West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her view against congress and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while giving an interview to some local television channels in Kolkata. Talking about the Singur incident which happened in 2006, Mamata said, “When I was doing a hunger strike on Singur for 26 days, where were they? Even the Prime Minister had come to Kolkata at that time. But he did not even telephone me, in case that upsets the CPM. Remember the CPM was their partner in UPA 1. Nandigram. 14 people were killed. They had threatened to kill me but I stood there. Where was the Congress? We had even called a Congress leader on some issue and asked him to help the people. They said that would upset the CPM and they disconnected the phone in fear. Where were they during Singur, Nandigram?”

West Bengal’s CM was responding to question asked about Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh’s comment. Last week Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has stated that whatever revolutionary change has happened in West Bengal, its credit goes to Congress as much as to its ally Trinamool Congress.

She alleged that UPA has overlooked the financial interests of the state and she will always oppose its anti people policies. Ms Banerjee said, “Before the elections, the Prime Minister said he would help. Pranab da held five meetings and you all covered it, made it headlines. But headlines are all we got, Bengal got nothing. But then I am against begging. We believe in holding our heads high. We believe they will immediately do something. Otherwise Bengal’s people will extract what is there right.”

Mamata Banerjee’s party runs government in Kolkata in alliance with the Congress but it has many leaders in the state assembly so it does not depend on the Congress for numbers. Congress only has five ministers in the West Bengal state and it is their junior partner so congressmen have not got proper treatment from Ms Banerjee’s party.

Earlier she has said that her alliance partner, whom she thinks work with the CPI-M against her was free to leave her party in the state.

The Trinamool is a key ally of the Congress in the UPA government; It has 20 members in the Lok Sabha and six in the Rajya Sabha.

The Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi is campaigning in Uttar Pradesh and while touring in Unnao and Hardoi, he blamed Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati and Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav for neglecting Muslim community in Uttar Pradesh.

While addressing public gatherings in Muslim-dominated pockets, he projected himself and his party as if they work for the welfare of the community.

Rahul asked, “Ever since we have declared 4.5 percent quota for the minorities, both Mulayam and Mayawati have been busy complaining that 4.5 percent was insufficient. But I would like to ask them why they never thought of offering higher quota while they were chief ministers of the state so many times. Isn’t it ironical that both the leaders are now criticizing us when they themselves did nothing.”

He further said that his party always believe in including all section of society in their schemes. He clarified, “While the Congress has always believed in including of all sections of society in all our schemes, the BSP and SP work for only 10 percent of the population.

“That explains why UP has failed to make any progress over the past 22 years since Congress has been out of power. After all you cannot ensure comprehensive growth of the state by excluding 90 percent of the population from your agenda.”

Blaming both Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati’s parties, he said, “In 2009, the SP had said that they were against the use of computers and English even though Mulayam’s own son worked on computers and spoke English. And today the party has promised in its manifesto to give free laptops to students.”

“Remember, you voted for the cycle and Mulayam punctured your hopes; then you voted for the elephant and he ate up all the money that was sent by the centre for your well-being.”

He added, “It is a shame that these leaders were seen touring the state only during elections, when they come, make tall promises and deliver loud speeches, only to shut their doors on the common people once they have got installed as chief ministers.”

Rahul also informed people that he tries to meet common man but SP and BSP leaders don’t do it. He said, “Mayawati and Mulayam do not care to meet the common man or to understand his problems. They did not go to Bhatta Parsaul, they did not go to Bundelkhand. They come to you only during elections and when I reach out to all, they ridicule me.”

“But I will not stop meeting you because I learn a lot from you – something that I do not learn during meetings with top officials in Delhi. I learnt about your problems from you and we launched MNREGA that gives you employment at your own home. And now we have got the Food Security bill to ensures that no one goes hungry.”

He raised his voice against corruption because of it fund doesn’t reach to the needful people. Rahul explained, “The union government has been sending funds to run schemes like MNREGA and NRHM. In fact, a huge funding of Rs.10,000 crore was sent for NRHM alone but bulk of the money was pocketed away by two or three ministers alone. We sent a special package for development of the backward areas of Bundelkhand , but none of it reached the poor target beneficiary.”

She had multiple injuries, a fractured skull, a clot in her brain, human bite marks were seen on over all her body. A teenaged girl brought the baby to the hospital and she claimed that she is her mother. Today also, baby’s condition is not well and police is trying to hunt her real parents.

Teenaged girl has been sent to juvenile home and police have not ruled out sexual abuse of her.

Several teams have been formed by the police to hunt the baby’s parents and they are also looking for those people who handed over the baby to the teenaged girl.

A new twist was seen in the case because a woman came to the hospital and she claimed that she is baby’s mausi or maternal aunt.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) condemned the shocking incident and it ordered a detailed inquiry about the case. Police have to ask to submit their factual report in 15 days.

Doctors treating the baby said that now only 40 percent chance of the recovery is expected and she may not recover soon because of the mental and physical trauma she has faced.

A doctor at AIIMS told reports, “We have been able to remove her from the ventilator, but she (baby) is in a transition from a ventilator to normal breathing. Till now, she’s unconscious which means she’s not able to follow commands.”

Doctor’s tone hinted that chanced of baby’s survival is less.

Forensic experts who were examining the wounds on baby ‘s body reported about some movement.

“A woman came claiming to be her ‘mausi’ (mother’s sister) and said the baby was kidnapped,” Deepak Agrwal, assistant professor, neurosurgery, told reporters.

“The baby is severely injured, and has suffered critical head injuries. Her future is uncertain,” a doctor said.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit offered her full support to the baby, she told reporters, “The Delhi government will support whatever her needs are, we will fulfil her needs. We are waiting for the medical report, let it come.”

Explaining the baby’s chances of recovery, Agarwal said: “Statistics show in cases of head injury, 30 percent patients die in hospital, 30 percent remain in a vegetative state for the rest of their life and only 20-30 percent are fine enough to take care of their basic needs, but in that case too they are impaired mentally.”

Politicians and women activists condemned the incident.

Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Brinda Karat said, “The tragic thing is that such cases are not rare and occur very often in our country. Child sexual abuse is all the worse because we have no social infrastructure to support a child in distress.”

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain said: “It (incident) is inhumane and stringent action should be taken against the culprits…”

“He just went berserk,” city police commissioner Meeran Borwanker told reporters.

“On the way, he went on ramming whatever vehicles were plying the road,” she said, adding that pedestrians pushed children out of the way of the bus to protect them.

“He was in such a dangerous kind of mood,” she said.

A senior police officer informed that police were interrogating driver Santosh Mane to know about these accidents. He will most likely be charged with murder case. The bus driver was not drunk.

The bus driver was being chased by police vehicles because they wanted to stop the bus somehow which was causing chaos on the road.

Mane drove for more than 20 km (12 miles), mostly on the wrong side of the road, before being brought to a halt, the police officer said.

A college student, Sharif Ibrahim Kutty, played an important role in overpowering the Mane.

“I saw a bus approach a woman and a young child and it just crushed her and then kept going, dragging her with it,” Sharif informed to a news channel.

“I got on my bike and I started chasing him. The police fired three rounds, but in vain. At a particular stage near a theatre, he lost control of the bus.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is touring Uttarakhand so that he can gather support of voters in upcoming elections. He has continued his blame-game rule to get people’s attention. He is alleging that BJP government in the state was corrupt. BJP has brought back B C Khanduri to the post of chief minister in the state and Rahul Gandhi said that they did it to cover up its scams.

While addressing a rally in Pithoraghar, Rahul said, “I want them to explain why Khanduriji became so important again after his removal in 2009. It seems he has been brought back by the BJP to cover up its scams.”

He said that till three months ago, Khanduri was not important for BJP and it was the corruption issue which was important.

He further blamed that when BJP was in power at the centre then corruption prevailed at large scale but BJP leader L K Advani did not take out a rath yatra against corruption at that time.

Gandhi alleged that BJP leaders did not see the corruption in the states where they are the ruling party Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

“People should ask Advaniji whether he mentioned about corruption by his party government in Karnataka during his rath yatra,” he said.

Lokpal Bill could not be passed during the winter sessions of parliament and Gandhi blamed the BJP for it.
“We want to set up a strong Lokpal with a constitutional status. But, the BJP did not allow the bill to be passed in this regard in Parliament,” he said.

Gandhi alleged that Uttarakhand’s BJP ruled government has misused funds sent by central government. He said, “We sent thousand crores of rupees for development but these were misused.”

Though Rahul Gandhi is talking about corruption done by other political leaders in his election rallies but why he is not talking about the black money stashed in the foreign bank.
