Recently a report was given by the Praja Foundation revealed that malaria could be a main reason of worry for Mumbai.
Chairman of Praja Foundation and former cabinet secretary, B G Deshmukh sent a written report to Maharashtra chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. It has been requested to make a team who can deal with the risks city is going to face.

The report stated, “We urge you to set up a task force on health comprising key experts and officials directly under you and the Health Minister that can study the above and suggest immediate measures to tackle this heath hazard on a war footing. The current situation calls for your urgent attention and prudent action.”

This foundation has gathered the facts that more than 2100 people have lost their lives due to malaria in between 2008 and 2010.

The report also revealed information about the main ward where number of deaths increased due to malaria was F (South) ward which addresses the Sewri and Parel regions, including the HQ of the Municipal Commissioner for Health.

Founder trustee of Praja Foundation, Nitai Mehta said, “If the state and civic bodies and its custodians had kept proper track of such trends, perhaps pragmatic solutions might have emerged. What’s worse, the periodicity of the diseases has also continued in the same manner each year. Recent articles in various newspapers state a repeat of similar trends for the current period (April 2011 to June 2011) as well.”

Animals always played a very important role in Michael’s life. Bubbles, the chimp was probably his most celebrated pet. MJ had rescued Bubbles from a Texas cancer research clinic in 1985 when the chimpanzee was three years old. Bubbles slept in a crib in MJ’s bedroom and was the only one- human or animal- allowed to use Michael’s private bathroom.

In fact for the trial of one of his concert in the year 2002 Jacko came in limping and the reason he gave was that he had been bitten by one of his tarantulas at his ranch, Neverland, which was home to many rare spiders.

In fact it was also rumored that for his much awaited comeback concert, Jackson had plans to enter the stage with African elephants and panthers; and parrots and some rare birds were to fly behind him.

Michael Jackson was diagnosed in 1986 with vitiligo and lupus. In a 90-minute interview with Oprah Winfrey in February 1993, Jackson dismissed suggestions that he bleached his skin, admitting for the first time that he had the illness. It is also said that he started wearing his signature ‘sequin glove’ to cover the vitiligo that had begun to appear. Some also said that Jackson slept in an oxygen chamber to prevent a horrible skin disease (not Vitiligo).

The one thing that constantly kept changing about MJ was his face. To begin with, he narrowed his nose slightly and shaped his eyebrows. Next came in a permanent eyeliner around his eyes and a lipstick! The late 80’s saw Jackson play with his nose again and he also got high cheek bones. Jackson’s looks kept changing and not many would know why?

There were also rumors that MJ had been allegedly taking female hormones to remove facial hair and keep his voice at a 12 year old boy pitch. He is also believed to have gotten rid of most of his nose to touch high musical notes while singing. This plastic surgery in fact cost Jacko dearly when he publicly dropped his nose!

Remembering the weird ways of Michael Jackson, he once dangled a 6 month old baby from the fifth floor of his hotel room in Berlin. Nothing and no one can probably now explain that incident.

Mystery shrouds Michael even in death as some say he was murdered and others claim it was a drug overdose. Some die-hard fans even go on to call MJ’s death a publicity stunt and that one day he will come back from the dead… moon-walking… and make the biggest comeback ever in history!
